This poor little ‘74 Triumph is for sale on cl and definitely has that new car smell after all these years... Or maybe that is the smell of mold, rust, dead leaves, squirrel poo, ect. etc.
Apparently it turns over... Yeah... Sure it does.
It’s “been sitting a long time” according to the owner... Or at least the seller, as this car has no title.
To the owner: You should be ashamed of yourself. Have you even heard of a tarp? Damn.
Classy owners, I’m sure. Poor little guy ;(

Makes me feel the same way as when I saw this example of neglect which happens to be in my fair city. Angry.

Damn. When you think of all the things a car can mean to someone... It is just sad to see how some owners treat their cars.

UPDATE: I happened to stumble on this now that I got curious. Evidently it’s been saved!

That guy was letting it rot. I started to dig and evidently somebody has rescued it. It’s not only a split window but a fuelie too.

The worst Triumph owner was British Leyland.

Car hoarders are the absolute worst. They would rather the car turn to dust than sell it. Thankfully it looks like somebody was able to tear that ‘Vette from that jerk’s fist.

It is, but this just happened to be a split-window fuelie Corvette so there was somebody out there who would be willing to throw what was probably stupid money at the previous owner/abuser. When it’s a something more like the Triumph you posted the ending usually isn’t nearly as happy which means that interesting and fun, but still cheap, cars become fewer and fewer.

An unfortunate truth. The Triumph will most likely be sold as scrap. Sucks.

If by turns over they mean it can literally turn top over bottom, then yes, it turns over.

True dat. Leyland was a great owner. Alongside Rover they made quite the dynamic lineup, and made a lot of interesting, cool and successful cars.
After Leyland was forced to merge with the near-bankrupt giant BMC the money was much more sparsely spread and Triumph suffered...

Most likely that is what they meant.
